Chelsea are reportedly ready to release three players this summer. The sale was made to raise funds to recruit young Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
As reported by Sportsmole, Thursday (15/7/2021), Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell three of their players. They are Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech and Tammy Abraham.
All this was done in order to fulfill Chelsea’s great desire to recruit Haaland. The name of the Blues -Chelsea’s nickname – has been widely linked with Haaland.
Chelsea’s desire did not subside, although in fact it could not guarantee Borussia Dortmund would release Haaland. The reason is, with the slick performance that the Norwegian striker continues to show, Dortmund is believed to be fighting hard to maintain the existence of the player.
Even if it will be released, Dortmund’s price will certainly not be cheap. Reportedly, Chelsea need to pocket funds of at least £150 million or approximately Rp3 trillion to bring in Haaland.
That way, Chelsea need to raise a lot of funds by selling their players. It is hoped that the sale of these three players can generate 90 million pounds.
Hudson-Odoi himself is ready to be released after failing to speak much throughout the 2020-2021 season. He only scored five goals in 37 appearances in all competitions.
Likewise with Ziyech, he also had the same fate as Odoi. His first season at Chelsea failed to run smoothly because he could only score six goals and recorded four assists in 39 appearances.
Tammy Abraham also failed to perform well. As a result, he has been busy talking about being sold by Chelsea in the summer of 2021.
A number of teams have also been linked with Abraham at this time. Among them, there are the names Aston Villa and West Ham United. Now, it is interesting to see the continuation of Chelsea’s efforts to recruit Haaland.
