Japanese Super Team Fails to Win Olympic Badminton Gold Medal

The star-studded Japanese Badminton Team failed to win a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Japan is said to be one of the countries that has a good chance of winning many gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics badminton.

Japan is considered to have evenly distributed strength in five numbers and consists of the world’s top players. Many players on the Japan Badminton Team are currently in the top five in the world and even occupy the top positions in the world.

At the 2021 All England, Japan ended the tournament with four titles in hand.

Kento Momota, Nozomi Okuhara, Akane Yamaguchi, Yuta Watanabe/Hiroyuki Endo, Sayaka Hirota/Yuki Fukushima, Mayu Matsumoto/Wakana Nagahara, to Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino are names that are believed to be able to watch a lot and become favorites at the Tokyo Olympics this time .

On Friday (30/7) Japan’s hopes of winning gold were piled into the women’s singles number. Nozomi and Akane failed to bear the burden and could not qualify for the semifinals.

Nozomi lost to He Bingjiao with a score of 21-13, 13-21, 14-21. This failure also added to the suffering of the Japanese badminton team, which failed to gain a single gold medal at home.

The defeat of host player Akane Yamaguchi in the quarter-finals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics made Japan fail to gain a gold medal.
