Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, is heavily reported to be moving to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the transfer market this summer. However, PSG coach, Mauricio Pochettino, did not want to discuss the transfer of the French national team player.
PSG continue to be linked with the services of Pogba to add to their midfield that has already brought in Georginio Wijnaldum. Reportedly, the French League giants have had a meeting with Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola.
As is known, Pogba’s future at Old Trafford has not found a bright spot. Because his contract with Man United only has 12 months left and discussions about extending his contract have also not reached an agreement.
Given that the French midfielder’s contract has not yet come to light, the Red Devils -the nickname of Manchester United- are ready to release Pogba if there is a suitable offer. Because they are reluctant to release him for free in the upcoming 2022 season.
The Red Devils themselves set a price of 50 million pounds for the star player. And as is known, PSG are the only club interested in bringing Pogba to Paris in the transfer market this summer.
Regarding the news, the PSG tactician, Pochettino, was asked about the continuation of the rumors of Pogba’s move. But he refused to discuss the topic, because his team had lost to Lille in the French Super Cup tournament.
“You look at the list of players we have at home, we have a lot of players. Half of the squad is there and some are on vacation,” said Pochettino, quoted by Metro, Monday (2/8/2021).
“I thought the team’s performance was good. I’m happy and I don’t want to talk about the names of players who are at other clubs.”
Meanwhile, in that match, PSG lost to Lille with a score of 0-1 in the French Super Cup, thanks to goals scored by Xeka. The match was held at Bloomfield Stadium, Tel Aviv, Monday (2/8/2021).
