AS Roma have confirmed the signing of Tammy Abraham from Chelsea on a five-year contract for a fee of round £34m. The deal with Roma is understand to include a buy back clause of around £68m.
The young England striker arrived in Italy for his mdical on Wednesday and has now sealed his move to the Sadio della Roma on a deal untul June 30, 2026.
“Abraham signed a contract until June 30, 2026. The agreement also provides for variable bonuses linked to the achievement of sporting objectives by Roma and the player and a percentage on a possible overrun in the event of future transfer of the player,” Roma said in a statement.
Abraham has scored 30 goals in 82 appearances for Chelsea since his debut in 2016, but he had his most prolific season as a professional in the jersey of Aston Villa, where he was loaned in the second division, with 25 goals scored in 2018-19.
“Roma is a club that deserves to be fighting for titles and trophies. I’ve had the experience of winning major trophies and I want to be in those competitions again so I want to help this team to achieve that and get to the level where Roma should be.” Abraham said.

Abraham’s arrival at Roma concludes a triangular movement that saw Romelu Lukaku leave Inter Milan for Chelsea then Edin Dzeko from Roma to succeed the Belgian at Nerazzurri.
“Although he is a very young player, with huge room for improvement, Tammy has already played more than 200 games and scored more than 100 goals, winning important titles,” Roma general manager Tiago Pinto said.
“The decision to leave the Premier League and his city team illustrates how deeply he believes in Roma’s project,” he added.
