Solskjaer Confirms Ronaldo to Start the Premier League Sooner

Cristiano Ronaldo has officialy left Juventus and gone back to the Premier League. The Portuguese superstar is once again set to pull on the famous red jersey of Manchester United.

Ronaldo could make his debut after the internasional break when United meet New Castle United at Old Trafford on 11 September.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted expects the five time Ballon d;Or to go straight into his side.

“He is not signing to sit on the bench. He is going to make us a better team. We need to get all the paperwork done, hopefully we can get that sorted and we can announce it 100%.” Solskjaer said.

“Then he is away with Portugal, they have three games, his last game is Tuesday (7 September) and then we can get him back to Manchester and be involved as soon as possible.” Solskjaer added.

Ronaldo scored 118 goals for Manchester United during six seasons at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009.

“Cristiano is a champion and a great personality. The players are very excited and I am also very happy to welcome him into this squad.” Solskjaer said

“He will add something completely different. He adds confidence and trust to what we’re trying to build. People are saying he’s too old, but with his personality, Cristiano will show what he can do.” the Norwegian manager added.

Joining the welcome, midfielder Paul Pogba believes that Ronaldo’s arrival will raise the level of United.

“Everybody knows what he can bring. Ronaldo is already a legend at this club and he will be back.” Pogba said.

“Obviously, that’s good for us, he’ll bring his experience and qualities with him. When he comes, the level will increase.

“The most important thing today was to win so when he comes we keep this winning mentality and carry on.” Pogba added.
