The north London captain is getting on the nerve his sponsor as he always changed three pairs of shoes every game and never wear them anymore for the next future games.
John Terry admitted that he changed three pairs of shoes per game.
The Chelsea’s captain is infamous for his bunch of rituals before the start of a game, including always pee on the same spot before the match started.
Toward Soccer AM, Terry admitted that he always changed shoes and getting on the nerve of his sponsor by saying: “I wore a pair on the warming up, another pairs in the first half of the game and the other pairs in the next half of the game,” admitted Terry. “After that, all of them were gone, I never wore them anymore.
“When those shoes stretched a bit wider, it felt like become a bit bigger, I think that I am losing my touch, and that is why I always get a new one.”
When being asked since when he started to do that, Terry answered: “Three years ago, Nike is not happy!
“I will donate those shoes to the Make a Wish donation organization, so that they could sold then and auction them.
“We [Chelsea] had a lot of fans in the end of the season, on the ongoing season, I will give them [shoes] to our fans and our mascot, for them to bring it home as a souvenir .”
John Terry is infamous for his superstitious act every time before a game, except the changing shoes habit, the Londoner also said that he always wanted to do the same routine every time before a match about to start, for example: peeing on the same spot, or using the same amount of ankle tape and it has to be wrap on the same location, position and, etc or else when it wasn’t in that order, he will took it of and redo it again.
