Premier League Results: Liverpool Defeat Arsenal 4-0

Liverpool managed to beat Arsenal with a landslide score of 4-0 in the Premier League match at Anfield, Saturday (20/11). Liverpool ended Arsenal’s unbeaten record in 10 consecutive games.

Liverpool’s match against Arsenal took place in an interesting way since the whistle signaled the start of the match. Liverpool, who appeared with full support, continued to press Arsenal’s defense. Liverpool started the game quite well. They immediately attacked. However, Arsenal played disciplined. Aaron Ramsdale also played quite solidly in the first half.

Aaron Ramsdale’s brilliant performance was one of the keys for Arsenal to withstand Liverpool’s onslaught in the first half. Ramsdale made a number of important saves from shots made by Mohamed Salah and his friends.

But the might of Ramsdale finally collapsed in the 39th minute. Starting from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free kick, Sadio Mane escaped from the control of Arsenal’s back line and headed the ball into the goal.

After the first half was over, Liverpool continued to press Arsenal. In the 50th minute, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could break through the Arsenal defense and open fire. But his shot was wide of the target.

Liverpool’s efforts paid off in the 52nd minute through Diogo Jota. This goal could not be separated from the fatal error of Nuno Tavares.

After successfully breaking Liverpool’s attack, Tavares made a wrong pass and instead gave the ball to Diogo Jota who was standing in the penalty box.

Jota then pulled off one trick before outwitting Ramsdale from close range.

After winning 2-0, Liverpool found it easier to find gaps in Arsenal’s defense. Ramsdale had made a brilliant save to prevent Liverpool’s further goal, but in the end the Reds were able to score two additional goals.

In the 73rd minute, Mohamed Salah listed his name on the scoreboard after receiving a mature pass from Mane. Salah effortlessly struck the ball into the wide-open net.

The same thing happened four minutes later. Liverpool’s short passes were ended by Alexander-Arnold’s low cross which was easily completed by Takumi Minamino in front of goal.

The score 4-0 for Liverpool lasted until the end of the match.

Juergen Klopp’s team moved up to second place in the standings ahead of Manchester City and West Ham United on goal difference, even though the three teams share 23 points.

However, Liverpool’s position is not safe because City will only play on Sunday night hosting Everton at the Etihad.

Meanwhile, Arsenal had to postpone their ambition to penetrate the top four and was stuck in fifth position with 21 points, according to the official Premier League website.
