Europa League Results: Lazio and Leicester City Win

Lazio managed to beat Lokomotiv Moscow with a score of 3-0 in the Europa League match at Lokomotiv Stadium, Russia, Thursday (25/11). In another match, Leicester City also won 3-1 over Legia Warsaw.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Francesco Acerbi headed in a Luis Aleberto corner, but his effort was too weak for the ball to be easily saved by goalkeeper Daniil Khudyakov.

Lokomotiv tried to retaliate in the 23rd minute with Konstantin Maradishvili’s long-range shot, but still couldn’t find the target.

Towards the end of the first half, Lazio had another chance through Felipe Anderson’s kick after receiving the ball from Lucas Leiva. However, this opportunity has not been fruitful because Khudyakov can stop it.

Lazio began to press the host defense. However, no goals were created in the first half.

After half time, Lazio did not relax the attack. In the 55th minute, Lazio were awarded a penalty after Mattia Zaccagni was fouled in the forbidden box. Ciro Immobile managed to complete the task as executor and brought Lazio 1-0 up.

The referee again pointed to the spot in the 61st minute after Immobile was fouled and fell in the penalty box. The player number 17 again managed to score against Lokomotiv Moscow.

Substitute Pedro kick in the 87th minute to complete Lazio’s 3-0 victory.

This result leaves Lazio in second place in Group E, behind leaders Galatasaray. Lazio and Galatasaray will meet on 10 December to confirm the group winners position. Lokomotiv, meanwhile, remain bottom of the group after picking up just two points from five matches.

Another match between Leicester City and Legia Warsaw was also exciting. The open match was immediately presented by both teams from the early minutes.

Patson Daka opened Leicester’s advantage in the 11th minute. Ten minutes later it was James Maddison’s turn to double the advantage.

Legia Warsaw immediately reduced the gap after being awarded a penalty in the 26th minute. Skillful Emreli’s kick was saved by goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. However, the ball rebounded directly utilized Filip Mladecovic.

Leicester scored again in the 33rd minute through Wilfred Ndidi’s header who received a pass from a corner kick. Leicester led 3-1 in the first half.

In the second half, attacks took place. However, no goals were created until the last minute.

This victory makes Leicester temporarily rise to the first position in Group C and Legia Warsaw are at the bottom of the standings.
