The European Championships and the Copa America might be looming just over the horizon but that doesn’t change the already heated market this summer. Here are our picks for some of the potential big signings both done and predicted deals for this summer
Vardy & Mahrez to Arsenal
Arsene Wenger has often been criticized for his signings of low profile players. Wenger does not dish out money for players unless he really feels they are worth their potential. But things have changed over the years, with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez costing the Gunners a combined of £75m and Granit Xhaka becoming Arsenal’s third most expensive signing of all time, things seem to be changing. Wenger now eyes a double swoop for the Leicester duo Mahrez and Vardy. Seemingly Vardy is a done deal. Reports have suggested that Vardy has shown his intent to the London club before leaving for France.
Kante to Chelsea
Leicester’s list of potential players leaving the club seems to be growing. N’golo Kante is the man being targeted both by Chelsea and PSG. Chelsea’s midfield will require a player like Kante as rumours just keep piling up around Nemanja Matic who is supposedly United bound. The Blues are also in contention for Alvaro Morata, the former Madrid player has been showing his class in Italy with Juventus and for Spain too in the International Friendlies. Chelsea’s vows seem to have taken a halt as Hazard and Willian both pledge atleast a year to the club
Everyone to Machester United
Manchester United seem to be linked up with every player since the arrival of their new boss Jose Mourinho. Starting off from Hazard to Willian to Matic to Morata to James Rodriguez to Karim Benzema. The red devils seem to be going all out in the transfer market. However the only legitimate news coming out from Manchester suggests that Ibrahimovic is a done deal. The Reds are also in talks with Villareal to sign the Ivory Coast midfielder Eric Bailley. In other reports, Juan Mata, who wasn’t on good terms with his former and now current boss, seems to be showing his displeasure over the new take over.
Higuain to Liverpool
Liverpool have been in contention for the Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze for quiet some time now. The German made his intentions clear when he expressed his desire to play under the new manager Carlo Ancelotti. This didn’t dent Liverpool’s ambitions as they are still in talks with the German worldcup winning star. Something that is almost a done deal is Higuain in an almost certain deal with the Reds. The Napoli forward who bagged 36 goals in 35 appearances last season has caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp.
