Ashley Cole Joins Frank Lampard’s Staff at Everton

Ashley Cole will join the coaching staff of former teammate Lampard at Everton. The former England defender was previously the coach of Chelsea’s youth academy.

“I was delighted when Frank asked me to join him at Everton. This is a great opportunity with a great club. I am here to work. Work hard and try to help bring success to the team.” Cole said.

“The opportunity to work with Frank again is another big draw. He is an excellent manager and leader. With the remaining members of the BHL, we have everything ready for the goals we want to conquer together.” Cole added.

Cole and Lampard have had 8 years of playing together in a Chelsea jersey. Both have won the English Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, 4 FA Cups and 2 League Cups.

“I am delighted to add Ashley to my coaching staff. Everyone knows about his amazing playing career and the achievements he has achieved. Ashley is a well respected and respected coach. recognized by his time working with U21 England.” Lampard said.

“He will bring a lot of enthusiasm, playing experience. Ashley is a very good young coach who gives strength to our coaching staff,” Lampard added.

Lampard on the other hand, still retains interim coach Duncan Ferguson as an assistant. In addition, the former Chelsea midfielder’s coaching staff also includes assistant Joe Edwards, first-team coaches Paul Clement and Chris Jones and goalkeeping coach Alan Kelly.

The 44-year-old coach was appointed Toffees boss on Monday, having beaten Vitor Pereira to replace Rafa Benitez in the Goodison Park hotseat.

Everton are currently 16th in the table. The Goodison Park home team had quite quality additions in January such as Dele Alli or Donny van de Beek with the goal of returning to the upper half of the Premier League.
