MotoGP Legend: Marquez Accident Terrible!

The Spaniard, Marc Marquez, had a serious accident during the warm-up session of the 2022 Indonesian MotoGP on Sunday (20/3/2022).

As a result, the Repsol Honda Team racer was not allowed to race at the Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok.

The racer nicknamed The Baby Alien fell a total of four times during the week of the 2022 MotoGP second series race.

In fact, two of them occurred in a row in the qualification which took place on Saturday (19/3/2022).

Marquez’s misfortune did not end there. He again had an accident while doing a warm-up session on the 4.31 km track. The incident that occurred at Turn 13 was very severe.

Marquez was seen thrown from his motorbike and landed hard on the track. Seeing the incident, Alex Criville judged that Marquez’s last accident was one of the most horrific he had ever seen. He hoped that Honda would soon find a solution so that the accident would not happen again.

“I expected more from Honda, he (Marquez) had problems. Marquez’s crash was one of the most horrific I’ve seen in a long time,” said Criville, quoted from Tutto Motori Web, Tuesday (22/3/2022).

“Fortunately he is fine, but he was unable to race because the doctors did not allow him to race for safety reasons, because he looked dazed.”

The 29-year-old racer is in fine condition after the terrible accident. However, after undergoing an examination at the Mataram Hospital, Marquez was not allowed to take part in the race.

Doctors diagnosed Marquez with a mild concussion. The Spanish passport racer was immediately flown to his home country for further treatment.

Even so, Marquez revealed himself to be in fine condition. He acknowledged the decision not to take part in the race, as the doctor advised, was for the best.

Marquez was recently rumored to have suffered a mild concussion, to be precise in November 2021.

The injury then spread to the optic nerve causing diplopia. Diplopia is a double vision disorder.
