RB Leipzig’s young striker Christopher Nkunku doesn’t want to make a rash decision, even though he is being targeted by two Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea. The French player is calm and doesn’t want to rush into making decisions in the near future.
Christopher Nkunku’s own name is sticking out to the public because of his slick performance with RB Leipzig this season. At RB Leipzig he has scored 35 goals and 20 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
Thanks to his appearance, big European clubs are interested in getting him. Two Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea, are rumoured to be interested in the 24-year-old.
Meanwhile Nkunku was pleased with rumours that Manchester United and Chelsea were interested in bringing him to the Premier League. However, he said RB Leipzig will do everything to keep him.
“It’s no secret that there are clubs that are interested in me. Yes, it’s flattering. But it’s also flattering to have a club like Leipzig who did everything to keep me,” Nkunku said.
Furthermore, Nkunku admitted that he did not want to make decisions quickly and had to think carefully. He wants to appear in the 2022 World Cup with the French National Team, so he must be careful in making decisions.
“Here, we have to think carefully and make good decisions. The opportunity to appear in the World Cup is there and this is a parameter that must be taken into account,” he said.
Manchester United and Chelsea want Nkunku to strengthen the team next season. Both teams want to rise, after the 2021-2022 season appeared disappointing.
