Manchester City on Friday have announced German goalkeeper Ortega Moreno as their new signing for the next three seasons.
The 29-year-old joined the Premier League champions as Ederson’s backup after ending his deal with German side Arminia Bielefeld after a 5-year deals.
“Manchester City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega Moreno on a three-year deal. The 29-year-old has joined the Club on a free transfer after his contract at Arminia Bielefeld expired.” City said in a statement.
“The experienced German bolsters City’s goalkeeping options and becomes the second signing of the summer, following Erling Haaland to the Club.” they added.
Moreno has won 3 aerial duels and 3 tackles in 2021/22 season.On top of this he made a total of 0 blocks. Based on these statistics after match day 34 he ranks on number 260 in the Bundesliga.

Moreno will join Scott Carson, Ederson Moraes, and Zack Stefen as goalkeepers at Etihad Stadium under Pep Guardiola.
“I can’t wait to get started, meet my teammates and begin working with Pep and his backroom staff.” Moreno said.
“I know the style of Pep and I love to see how play football. I think I have the quality to also show this performance.” he added.
