Ahead of the 2022 European Super Cup: Targeting 6 trophies, Real Madrid are ready to beat Eintracht Frankfurt

Real Madrid will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2022 European Super Cup at Helsinki Olympic Stadium, Finland, Thursday (11/7/2022). For the sake of the deadline for six trophies a season, Los Blancos – Madrid’s nickname – promised not to lose the European Super Cup this year.

The European Super Cup trophy is often considered unimportant to most people. However, obviously not for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

This season, Real Madrid will take part in a number of competitions. In addition to the Spanish League and Champions League, they also compete in the Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup and European Super Cup, as well as the Club World Cup. For the last tournament, the status is not clear because there is the Qatar 2022 World Cup at the end of the year.

Real Madrid have the opportunity to win their first trophy of the season. They will appear in the 2022 European Super Cup. Appearing as Champions League champions, they will fight the European League champions, Eintracht Frankfurt.

Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, admits the task of winning the European Super Cup is not an easy matter. Frankfurt is already “hot” because it has competed in competitive matches first in the German League.

Even so, Ancelotti is determined to bring Los Blancos to victory. He did not want to be fixated on the impressive results obtained by Frankfurt last season.

“We are at a disadvantage compared to Eintracht Frankfurt, who started the season early. However, we will compete to win. We are looking forward and not backwards,” said Ancelotti on UEFA’s official website, Tuesday (9/8/2022).

Ancelotti also said that the 2022 European Super Cup will be the start of the Real Madrid season. He is determined to bring EL Real to compete for trophies in the six competitions they participate in the 2022-2023 season.

“Last year’s win strengthened our belief. However, we need concentration for the upcoming games. This season, there are titles up for grabs, and we want to compete for them all.”
