Ronaldo: Out of 100 News About Me, Only 5 is True!

Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has again expressed his disappointment with the media coverage. Ronaldo claimed to have pocketed a list of fake news about him that circulated in the last two months.

Ronaldo’s confession was written in the comments column uploaded by the Instagram fanbase account, @cr7.o_lendario. The account uploaded a collage of three photos showing Ronaldo and a journalist named Edu Aguirre. The description of the photo collage contains a long description of the rumors of Atletico Madrid’s interest in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Seeing @cr7.o_lendario’s upload, Ronaldo immediately reacted strongly by writing a statement in the comments column. Ronaldo looks very angry with various media reports in the last two months.

“You will know the truth after I have an interview in the next few weeks. The media only tells lies. I have a notebook. Of the 100 stories about me, only five are true in the last few months,” Ronaldo said. “Imagine how it will be. Believe me,” said the Portugal captain.

Ronaldo has indeed become the center of media coverage in the transfer market this summer. In early July 2022, it was reported that Ronaldo wanted to leave Man United in order to play in the Champions League next season.

The rumors began to be widely reported after Ronaldo missed training and Man United’s pre-season tour for family reasons. The 37-year-old player then continued to be linked with many elite European teams, from Chelsea, Bayern Munich, to Atletico Madrid. Ronaldo was even rumored to be selling himself through his agent, Jorge Mendes, to various teams with the lure of being willing to accept a pay cut just to leave Man United.

After returning to Manchester, Ronaldo continued to be the object of oblique news with the same topic, namely wanting to leave Man United. Ronaldo has actually played for Man United in the first two matches of the 2022-2023 Premier League. However, the former Real Madrid star is still being reported as wanting to find a new club.

Recently, Ronaldo is reportedly involved in a cold war with Man United coach, Erik ten Hag, and several other players. Rumors circulating at this time are Man United are exploring the possibility of terminating Ronaldo’s contract, which actually still has one year left.

Man United is said to be worried that Ronaldo’s presence will adversely affect the condition of the squad and also Ten Hag who is trying to rebuild the team. The rumor was related to reports that Ronaldo showed an unprofessional attitude after returning to Man United. Despite the various rumors above, Ronaldo and Man United must immediately take a stand. Because, the summer transfer market will close in two weeks, to be exact on August 31, 2022.
