Anthony Joshua is reportedly gas accepted all the terms proposed by Tyson Fury’s team for the fight and now awaits the final answer from the WBC (World Boxing Council) heavyweight champion of the world.
It’s official December 3rd will be a special date for the fight between the two British boxing legends.
The 258 MGT and Matchroom Boxing on Tuesday took an announcement about the fight via a social media.
“258 and Matchroom Boxing can confirm, on behalf of Anthony Joshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday.” the 258 MGT tweeted.
“Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication. We are awaiting a response.” they added.
According to reports, the contract presented by Fury is a fight where the two-time world champion a purse of 60 – 40.
The Fury vs Joshua fight was even announced by the two fighters, in Saudi Arabia, with a purse of US$ 150 million for each, but an arbitration court in the United States demanded that the trilogy fight between Fury and Wilder, provided for in the contract, was to be carried out. It was then that Bob Arum announced this fight for July 24th in Las Vegas.
Joshua is a former world champion and in August 2022 he suffered his second loss in a row while attempting a title rematch against Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury, who had already announced his retirement in April, returned and challenges his fellow countryman to a title fight in what he called the “Battle of Great Britain”.
“Anthony Joshua I know you just lost a fight to Usyk and you are currently out of a fight and I would like to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC World Heavyweight Championship and the Linear Championship in the next few months,” Fury said.
