“This feels amazing. It was nice to wake up a little early and finish the match in straight sets,” said Cameron Norrie. “I feel the conditions here suit me. It’s pretty hot, so I like it. It was a tough match but I was able to win some tight games and get some break opportunities in each set, so overall it was a great day for me.”

The 27-year-old tennis player is now in 11th position in the ATP Race to Turin standings. The tennis player who has won four titles will aim to go further at the Korea Open in order to increase his chances of qualifying at this season’s ATP Finals which will be held in November.

Waiting for Norrie in the quarterfinals of the Korea Open was the eighth seed, Jenson Brooksby, who knocked out the host’s mainstay, Soonwoo Kwon 6-3, 6-4 in 1 hour 33 minutes.

US tennis player Brooksby is seeking his first career ATP title this week after finishing runners-up in Dallas and Atlanta this season. The 21-year-old Brooksby is now ranked 42 in the world after claiming his 24th win of the season.
