Manchester United to Respond Cristiano Ronaldo’s Interview with Piers Morgan

Manchester United has insisted that they will hold off on making any decisions for Cristiano Ronaldo until they have watched the entire 90-minute interview with Piers Morgan.

However, the club have said they are focused on ‘preparing for the second half of the season and continuing their momentum’ after the Red Devils secured a 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday.

“The club will consider its response after the full facts have been established.” United said in a statement.

“Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans.” they added.

The Portuguese forward on Sunday has given an explosive interview criticising United and manager Erik ten Hag.

“Yes, I feel betrayed. Some people don’t want me here not only this year, but last year too. on Ten Hag, I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me.” Ronaldo said.

“Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t care. People should hear the truth. Yes, I feel betrayed. Some people don’t want me here not only this year, but last year too.” Ronaldo added.

United came shortly after Talk TV released a series of clips from his exclusive interview with Morgan.

Ronaldo was suspended by the Red Devils for disciplinary reasons in the aftermath of the Tottenham match on October 19.

According to an English law firm, Manchester United can count on Ronaldo’s words to unilaterally terminate the contract if the 37-year-old striker seriously breaks the team’s commitment to keep information confidential.

FIFA rules state that a party can cancel a contract without consequences, if there is a good reason. Therefore, what Ronaldo said in the 90 minutes of the interview could be evidence for United to cancel the contract.
