Wanting to rebuild Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will soon find temporary headquarters

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has plans to rebuild the Blues’ proud headquarters -Chelsea’s nickname, Stamford Bridge. This was done because Boehly had promised the stadium rights holders that he wanted to make the Chelsea headquarters bigger.

Just to inform you, Stamford Bridge has the smallest capacity among the headquarters of the top six Premier League clubs. Previously, plans to move the headquarters had existed since the Roman Abramovich era, but this did not happen because he had to step down from his position.

However, in the Boehly era, the Chelsea headquarters would not be moved. Because Boehly considers Stamford Bridge a historic place for the club from West London.

The man from the United States wants Stamford Bridge to be torn down first, then built from scratch. This was confirmed through an official statement by the stadium’s rights holder. Chelsea Pitch Owners.

“The new owners have committed to rebuilding the stadium, so it is expected that the group’s workload will increase once this project is established,” said a Chelsea Pitch Owners statement reported by the Daily Mail, Thursday (8/12/2022).

Todd Boehly’s colleague at Chelsea, Jonathan Goldstein wants the ambitious project to start in 2023. That means, Chelsea must find a temporary home.

“We are very concerned about rebuilding, the planning process is something we will start over the next year,” Goldstein said. “We hope the central government will support it, and see it as an engine of growth. We are proceeding as fast and as hard as we can, this is a big project,” he concluded.
