Until now, Cristiano Ronaldo still has not found a club that he will immediately defend after leaving Manchester United. According to the famous Italian coach, Fabio Capello, all of this can happen because Ronaldo is known to be arrogant and this will obviously be detrimental to the team that will recruit him.
As is known, CR7 – Ronaldo’s nickname – caused a stir in November 2022 through a controversial interview with a British journalist, Piers Morgan. At that time, he openly revealed the bad things about Man United.
In fact, the 37-year-old player said that Man United coach, Erik Ten Hag, did not respect him as a great player because he ordered him to play briefly at the end of the second half as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur.
At that time, Ronaldo chose to refuse to play at the end of the Man United vs Tottenham match. Apart from that, he revealed many other controversial things which clearly started a fire in the Manchester Reds camp.
In the end, the Red Devils – the nickname of Man United – terminated his contract which made Ronaldo status as an unemployed player when he performed at the 2022 World Cup. In fact, until now he is still on a free transfer status, meaning he doesn’t have a club.
Capello also considered that the behavior of the winner of the five Ballon d’Or titles was very embarrassing because it tarnished his brilliant career. According to him, Ronaldo is an arrogant player because he left Old Trafford without knowing whether a club wanted his services or not.
The 76-year-old coach saw that Ronaldo had difficulty finding a new club because many teams knew that having CR7 would only cause them trouble due to his arrogance.
“Ronaldo took it upon himself and for what he’s done in his career, it’s a disgrace,” Capello said as quoted by Football Italia, Sunday (25/12/2022).
“As a player, there is no question about his greatness, but he is arrogant. He offered himself without finding a club that would believe in him because he would be causing trouble for his own team.”
Ronaldo himself is reportedly being approached by the Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, who is said to be willing to pay his exorbitant salary. However, until now, it was just a rumor because the former Juventus still seems to want to spend his career on the Blue Continent.
