Juventus are targeting 40 points in the Italian League final standings to avoid relegation. Juventus were punished with a deduction of 15 points due to a player transfer case. The sanction resulted in the Bianconeri’s position drops sharply.
Before being sanctioned, Juventus were in the top flight, but this time they are languishing in 13th place in the Italian League standings from 20 matches. The Old Lady is now only 10 points from the relegation zone.
That fact made Juventus change its target. Their focus this season is to avoid relegation from Serie A. Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri believes that his team must reach 40 points so they don’t fall in the caste.
Juventus, who were punished with a 15 point deduction due to a case of falsifying transfer fees, are now facing danger. I Bianconeri are close to the red zone after achieving a minor result against Monza in the continued top competition of the Italian League, Serie A.
“At the moment, the fact is that we have taken 15 points off and we have to think about getting to 40 points,” said Allegri, Tuesday (7/2/2023). “It’s ironic, but we need to think about this objective first and then take it step by step.”
Juventus is scheduled to travel to the Salernitana headquarters to play Week 21 of the 2022-2023 Italian League. The Salernitana vs Juventus match will be held at the Arechi Stadium, Wednesday (8/2/2023).
Undergoing a match at home of the opponent is not easy. However, Allegri emphasized that Juventus must fight to get back to winning ways. Understandably, Juventus have gone through their last three matches in Serie A without a single win (1 draw, 2 defeats).
“For us, facing the game with the right approach is important. We have to put ourselves on par with Salernitana,” said Allegri. “We have to get back on track (winning) and start chasing the teams in front of us and start climbing the standings,” said the former AC Milan tactician. “Tomorrow’s match will be complicated . Their fans are very excited. Manager Davide Nicola did a great job there and they won (2-1) in Lecce,” said Allegri.
