“I met Cristiano Ronaldo at Mallorca before this season after my move was completed,” said Sadio Mane, quoted from Goal International, Thursday (2/3/2023).
Interestingly, Sadio Mane was congratulated by Cristiano Ronaldo on his decision to join Bayern Munich. In fact, Cristiano Ronaldo fully supports the Senegalese star for a career at the German League giants.
“He (Cristiano Ronaldo) congratulated me and told me: ‘What a club. This is a great move for you,'” added Sadio Mane.
“That says everything about the Bundesliga and underscores what I’ve said: I think you underestimate the Bundesliga here. The last appearance in the Champions League proves that,” continued the former Liverpool bomber.
Since his move to Bayern Munich, Sadio Mane initially started his career in a great way, scoring six goals and contributing three assists. However, he had to step aside due to a serious leg injury in November 2022.
This condition forced Sadio Mane to undergo surgery and miss the 2022 World Cup. Now, the Senegalese national team player returned from his long-awaited injury and played as a substitute in the victory Bayern 3-0 over Union Berlin.
