Ahead of defending the Portuguese National Team in the 2024 European Cup Qualification, Cristiano Ronaldo finally opened his voice regarding his departure from Manchester United in November 2022. According to CR7, it was one of the worst moments of his career, but he admits he has learned a lot from it.
It seems that Ronaldo did not think that his decision to return to Man United in the summer of 2021 would end badly. Initially, Ronaldo was well received at Old Trafford, especially since he was Man United’s top scorer in the 2021-2022 season.
However, since the Man United coaching chair was taken by Erik Ten Hag, Ronaldo’s playing minutes have increasingly disappeared. Not accepting Ten Hag’s decision to reserve him, Ronaldo then conducted an interview with Piers Morgan which angered the fans and the club.
Because of this incident, the relationship between Ronaldo and Man United was not good. As a result, both parties decided to terminate the cooperation contract in November 2022.
Ronaldo has now officially joined Al Nassr. He has played in the 2022-2023 Saudi Arabian League since the beginning of January 2023 and so far CR7 has enjoyed his career with Al Nassr.
According to Ronaldo’s explanation, the moment with Man United taught him many lessons. He admitted that he had never felt so down as when he was at the Red Devils.
For Ronaldo, this moment was the worst career he had as a footballer. He can also see who is supporting him and who is not defending him.
“Sometimes, you have to go through things to see who is on my side. I have no problem saying, I’ve had a bad career, but there’s no time for regrets,” said Ronaldo, quoting from the Mirror, Thursday (23/3/2023).
“Life goes on and, whether we like it or not, it’s part of my growing up. When you’re on the top of a mountain, you often can’t see what’s below,” he continued.
“Now, I am more prepared and have learned that it was important, because I have never experienced anything like the last few months. Now I have become a better man, “added Georgina Rodriguez’s lover.
