Bayern Munich are looking for a new striker for the 2023/24 season. The Bavarians are currently without a top striker after Robert Lewandowski joined Barcelona last summer.
According to reports, Bayern are interested in signing Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window.
Lukaku will return to Chelsea when his loan deal expires at the end of the season. However, Inter will not pick up their option to buy Lukaku from Chelsea this summer.
Lukaku understood that he no longer had a place at Stamford Bridge. The Belgian is trying to convince Inter to buy him outright from Chelsea and Lukaku will also be willing to drastically reduce his current wage.
Lukaku makes 7.5 million euros every season at Inter and is willing to cut this figure in half in order to stay in Italy and avoid returning to Chelsea at the end of the season. However, Inter is unlikely to approve Lukaku’s desire.
Inter will have to spend 60 million euros next summer if they want to sign Lukaku permanently from Chelsea. Given the Italian team’s current financial circumstances, this is an excessively high figure.
The Nerazurri also do not want to spend much with Lukaku when he has lost his form compared to the last 2-3 seasons.
However, Inter is unlikely to change its decision and most likely, Lukaku will face a dilemma situation next season.
Chelsea is also no longer interested in the Belgian striker and does not rule out the possibility that the Blues will also find a way to get rid of Lukaku right next summer by selling cheaply.
FC Bayern arw looking for a true striker for the upcoming season. Lukaku would be ideal for the part. But, his Serie A goal tally speaks against his dedication.
Lukaku has only scored three goals in 18 league games. In the Champions League, he only needed four games to score as many goals.
