Davis, LeBron and Russell Lead Lakers Win over Warriors

Anthony Davis, LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell led the Los Angeles Lakers to win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.

The Warriors opened 11, but after a streak, the Lakers turned and weren’t threatened again. Davis shone on both sides of the court, while Russell was the big name of the first half. Finally, LeBron warmed up after an unusual start.

Los Angeles got off to a better start, while San Francisco’s team was low on three-pointers.

Russell and Davis led the Lakers and had the team’s first 21 points against the Warriors. Then, Golden State scored 17 to 4 in about four minutes, turning the score into 29 to 23.

At the end of the first quarter, the visitors led by 30 to 23 without LeBron James even trying a pitch. In fact, it was the first time in the playoffs that this happened.

In the second half, the situation remained with the Warriors in front, while the Lakers failed in the balls of three.

However, the only one who could get it right was Russell and he made one more. Despite their efforts, Golden State led by 34 to 29.

But soon after, the visitors hit two more from long distance, increasing the difference to 11. However, after that, the Lakers made 22 to 2, turned the scoreboard and led by 51 to 42.

Then, finally, the San Francisco team hit a basket. Up until that point, the team had missed ten of 11 shots.

Following, the Warriors cut to three, but Austin Reaves and Dennis Schroder put the hosts ahead by 55 to 48. At the end of the first half, the Lakers led by 59 to 48.

Then, on the return of halftime, Los Angeles opened 14 points after LeBron’s three-pointer.

Then Draymond Green committed his fourth foul and Davis hit a free throw. Thus, the score was 65 to 50. Shortly after, the lead was 17, but Stephen Curry hit three.

Then Green made another foul, the fifth, and Davis converted free throws to make it 71 to 55. The Lakers center blocked Curry and, on the next move, Andrew Wiggins made a beautiful dunk.

The gap dropped to ten, while Curry appeared to be the only one not to accept defeat so soon.

But James had an incredible following. First, he made a basket in transition, after stealing the ball from Rui Hachimura.

However, he tackled Jordan Poole. Finally, he left once again for the basket and was fouled. The Lakers opened 20. In the final 12 minutes, the difference reached 25, after Reaves basket of three.

Green scored with a layup, but Schroder hit from the perimeter and the lead was 26. Then coach Steve Kerr threw his reserves into the court with nine minutes to go, accepting defeat.
