Messi’s Show in China: From Scored Flash Goals to Being Hugged by Intruder Fan

Lionel Messi puts on his show in the Argentina vs Australia match in China. He scored a flash goal, became the main object of the audience’s camera, and was hugged by a fan who infiltrated the field.

Lionel Messi appeared to lead the Argentina national team during a test match against the Australian national team in China. The Argentina vs Australia match was held at the Workers Stadium, Beijing, on Thursday (15/6/2023) evening. Playing the main stars including the captain Lionel Messi, Argentina successfully beat Australia with a score of 2-0.

Matchday Main Actor

Lionel Messi became the main actor in the FIFA Matchday test match. The first half has not even rolled two minutes, Messi was immediately able to break into the Australian goal.

Messi fired a curling shot after receiving Enzo Fernandez’s pass near the opponent’s penalty box. Messi’s flash goal was recorded at 1 minute 19 seconds. For Messi, it is the fastest goal he has ever scored in his career to date.

In a photo uploaded by BR Football’s Twitter account, it can be seen that almost all the spectators in one of the stands pointed their cellphone cameras at Messi who was dribbling.

Hugged by intruder fan

An interesting incident also experienced by Messi. The tiny striker, also known as La Pulga or The Flea, was hugged by a fan who infiltrated the field. The fan ran to Messi, hugged him, then continued to run towards the Argentina national team goalkeeper, Emilano Martinez. Three policemen who entered the field looked overwhelmed chasing the intruder.

Argentina then locked in victory over Australia through a goal from defender German Pezzela in the 68th minute. Pezzela stood in the right position to meet Rodrigo De Paul’s cross. After playing a test match against Australia in China, La Albiceleste will then face the Indonesian national team in Jakarta, 19 June. However, it is reported that Lionel Messi will not go to Jakarta and will miss the match between the Indonesian national team and Argentina.
