According to Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho it is going to be a very difficult time for Bastian Schweinsteiger. Mourinho said: “I think it’s very difficult to happen.
“I’m not saying it’s impossible, I’m saying its very difficult because we have made a decision made about [Paul] Pogba, [Ander] Herrera, [Morgan] Schneiderlin, [Marouane] Fellaini and [Michael] Carrick.
He will surely face much difficulty for getting back to the club again for playing. 120 caps have been won by Schweinsteiger while playing for Germany. Mourinho has now taken charge of him during these summers. Under 23s, he did the training alone. On Wednesday, Bastian Schweinsteiger said, “Will be ready if the team needs me”.
Mourinho said: “We have five players for two positions. It’s very difficult that an opportunity will arrive.”
Mourinho stated that he has no problem in regard to Bastian Schweinsteiger whether he plays at the club or not. “I cannot answer for him. It’s his life. It’s his career,” said Mourinho.
“He has a contract and has the right to make that decision to stay. That’s not a problem for us.”
He further added and said, “I love Andreas Pereira as a player and I would love to have him in my squad, but he will go to Granada. Mourinho said: “I thought, when I read some quotes from people at Bayern Munich, that they would run to Manchester to bring him back, but no, that didn’t happen. I’m quite surprised Karl-Heinze Rummennigge is not here to take him back.”
Discussing what course of move Schweinsteiger should make, Mourinho stated that he can’t answer for him. It’s his life, his profession. He has an agreement with Man United. He has a privilege to settle on that decision and stay, so that is not an issue for us. He said, “Football is made of decisions. I did that all my career. Not just me, everyone does, but some players react in a different way. To be honest, Bastian is not speaking a lot. He gave his last statement, which he is completely free to make, in an objective way, like he did.”
