Sadio Mane is called to immediately follow Cristiano Ronaldo to join Al Nassr

Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is reportedly set to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr this summer. He will be a duet with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Senegalese player, who currently plays for Bayern Munich, is said to be in talks with Al-Nassr. Reporting from vanguardngr.com, it was stated that Mane was one step away from leaving Europe to move to Saudi Arabia.

Sadio Mane was Liverpool’s goal machine before finally moving to Bayern Munich. The 2021 African Cup winner made 269 appearances while playing for the Reds, scoring 120 goals and 48 assists.

Mane helped the Reds to six trophies including the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

Mane, 31, moved to Bayern Munich from Liverpool last summer for a three-year contract and a transfer fee of €32 million.

In the Bundesliga, he helped the team win the league title last season. During his 38 appearances there he only scored 12 goals and provided six assists.

While defending FC Hollywood, nicknamed Bayern Munich, Mane was often absent from the starting eleven due to injury and inconsistency problems.

The Senegal captain was also involved in two locker room incidents, including punching teammate Leroy Sane in an altercation.
