British MotoGP: Marquez Fall, Never Finish 2023 MotoGP

The 2023 British MotoGP race session took place at the Silverstone Circuit, Towcester, England, on Sunday ( 6/8/2023). Repsol Honda rider, Marc Marquez, has not been able to finish the race in the 2023 MotoGP event. Recently, Marc Marquez has had the unlucky fate when riding his motorbike at the 2023 British MotoGP. Marquez cannot continue the 2023 British as he fell when the race had only five laps left.

The rider nicknamed The Baby Alien fell at Turn 11 after being nudged by Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) in the 2023 British MotoGP race. Failure to finish at the Silverstone Circuit added to the confusion of Marc Marquez’s progress in the 2023 MotoGP season.

According to Crash’s report, the Spanish racer has never finished a race until now. For information, MotoGP 2023 has entered the ninth series. Previously, Marc Marquez was absent at the Argentine GP, American GP and Spanish GP in the 2023 MotoGP event. Then, Marquez chose to withdraw at the German GP and the Dutch GP due to injury problems.

Aprilia Racing rider Aleix Espargaro emerged as the fastest in the 2023 British MotoGP race. Aleix Espargaro won the 2023 British MotoGP dramatically after overtaking Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) on the last lap.

However, Espargaro’s victory did not affect Francesco Bagnaia’s position in the 2023 MotoGP standings. Currently, Francesco Bagnaia is comfortably at the top of the 2023 MotoGP standings after collecting 214 points.

Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing) and Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46) occupy second and third positions in the 2023 MotoGP standings. Jorge Martin has 173 points in second place, while Marco Bezzecchi has 167 points in third place. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez bounced in 19th place. He only scored 15 points in the 2023 MotoGP standings.

In addition, Mooney VR46 Team rider, Marco Bezzecchi, became the fastest in the first free practice session (FP1) British MotoGP 2023. Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Team) and Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) ranked second and third respectively. Meanwhile, FP1 is no longer one of the determinants of qualifying for the second qualification (Q2). FP1, which lasts 45 minutes, is only used by riders and teams to determine the best setting for the motorbike.
