Premier League Results: Two Last Minute Goals Bury the Red Devils at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal won full points over Manchester United in week four of the 2023-2024 Premier League. Playing at Ermirates Stadium, Sunday (3/9/2023), The Gunners appeared dominant by presenting victory in front of their public.

Both teams played fiercely from the start of the game. A draw in the first half, two late goals scored by Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus brought Arsenal to a convincing 3-1 win over Man United.

Appearing in front of his own supporters made Arsenal players look more confident. Nearly 15 minutes into the game, the Gunners kept the Manchester United defense in check.

While the Red Devils tend to only rely on counterattacks to look for opportunities. However, Man United actually managed to win first over Arsenal.

Marcus Rashford got his name on the scoreboard in the 27th minute. Rashford immediately put Man United ahead with his first touch in this match.

Starting from a counter-attack situation, Cristian Eriksen sent feedback to Marcus Rashford.

Rashford then rushed into Arsenal’s penalty box and fired a shot with his right foot which flew straight into the left corner of Arsenal’s goal.

The match heated up after Arsenal managed to equalize. Just one minute later from Rashford’s goal, Martin Odegaard successfully netted the ball against Man United. Odegaard fired hard from inside the Man United penalty box which Onana was unable to reach after following Gabriel Martinelli’s pass.

The Emirates public roared with Odegaard’s goal. The tempo of the game for both teams has increased accordingly. However, no additional goals were created to make the first half end in a 1-1 draw.

Entering the second half, Arsenal returned with an attacking game. Mikel Arteta’s team immediately made an attempt at the Red Devils defense after halftime.

Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka several times threatened the Man United defense area. However, Harry Maguire and his colleagues could still block their movements.

Meanwhile on the opposing side, Man United, who was again under pressure, could only look for opportunities through quick counterattacks. However, the speed of the Red Manchester forwards managed to ruffle the Arsenal defenders several times.

The Red Devils actually almost locked in victory over Arsenal. Unfortunately, Alejandro Garnacho’s goal was disallowed by the referee because the player was already in an offside position.

Two additional goals actually succeeded in getting Arsenal in the final minutes. Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus sealed Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Manchester United.
