Facts are starting to emerge that Cristiano Ronaldo was not the source of problems when he was still defending Manchester United

Facts are starting to emerge that Cristiano Ronaldo was not the source of the problems when he was still defending Manchester United. In fact, CR7 was once considered the source of the Red Devils’ problems.

Coming back to Old Trafford in 2021, Ronaldo intends to finish his career in the team that made his name and improve United’s performance, which is far behind its rivals. However, he actually got something less good.

Upon returning to Old Trafford, he was faced with complicated problems within the United camp. Especially, the problem of the mentality of players who are too weak and feel that they have become big players.

Ronaldo even said this directly on one occasion. As a result of this, he actually received insults and was considered the source of problems because he felt he was too concerned with his ego.

Worse yet, this led to his controversial interview with Piers Morgan. This forced him to be kicked out and join the Saudi Arabian League.

However, recently, former Manchester United assistant coach, Mike Phelan, revealed the truth about what happened at that time. In an interview with Sky Sports, he considered that Ronaldo was not the source of problems at United.

“On the second occasion, he (Ronaldo) appeared much older and more opinionated, strong-willed,” Phelan said on Sky Sports quoted from Marca, Tuesday (19/9/2023).

“He still has very high standards and is great to work with. But I think his mindset is tougher. He was at Manchester United, he was always present in Portugal, he was at Madrid,” continued the man with an English passport.

“I like him because he doesn’t want his standards to go down, he wants other people’s standards to go up. And sometimes you lose some people when that happens. I remember certain times when he pushed and pushed hard, and he didn’t get much of a reaction and didn’t there were a lot of responses, and there was a sense of frustration,” said Phelan.

This was also confirmed by the famous British journalist Piers Morgan. This increasingly shows that Ronaldo is not the source of the problems at Manchester United.

If Ronaldo is the source of the problem, of course his departure is the solution to what happened. But what happened was just the opposite. Instead of getting better and achieving again, Manchester United has now become a club full of controversy.

Starting from Mason Greenwood who was exiled to Spain, Antony who was involved in a case, Erik Ten Hag’s feud with Jadon Sancho, to the selfishness of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and others on the field. All of this proves that the real problem is not Ronaldo.

Ten Hag has a tough task as Manchester United skipper. The Dutch coach must resolve every problem in the Red Devils’ camp as soon as possible.
