15 minutes later, Arsenal managed to increase their lead over Crystal Palace. The Gunners benefited from Dean Henderson’s own goal.
Again from a corner kick, Magalhaes met the ball with a header. The ball hit Henderson’s body before entering the Palace goal. Arsenal are now leading 2-0. The score lasted until halftime.
Crystal Palace increased the intensity after the break. Eberechi Eze stabbed into the middle then took a low kick towards the left corner. David Raya can still anticipate the ball.
Arsenal twice claimed penalties after fouls on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, but were both denied. Before the game had even rolled around for an hour, Arsenal managed to score their third goal.
Leandro Trossard increased Arsenal’s lead 3-0 over Crystal Palace in the 59th minute. David Raya threw a long throw from behind to Gabriel Jesus. Trossard received the ball in the penalty box, then grabbed Nathaniel Clyne, before finishing with a right-footed shot.
Then the match went almost one way. Arsenal continued to attack Crystal Palace in pursuit of additional goals.
In injury time, Arsenal finally managed to score the long-awaited fourth goal. Martinelli found the back of the Crystal Palace goal so the position changed 4-0. Eddie NKetiah’s pass was received by Martinelli on the left side of the penalty box, and he finished with a shot towards the far post.
Martinelli scored his second goal or Arsenal’s fifth goal just moments before the match ended. Martinelli did it in a similar way to his first goal. Jorginho’s pass in midfield was completed by Martinelli with a right-footed shot to the far post.
Arsenal also managed to maintain a 5-0 lead over Crystal Palace in that match. The home team also has the right to get three points which puts them in third place in the standings with 43 points.
