Arsenal managed to steal victory at Manchester United’s headquarters at Old Trafford in Week 37 of the 2023/2024 Premier League, Sunday (12/05/2024).

This duel was not easy for Arsenal because Manchester United dared to play attacking and apart from that their game was better than against Crystal Palace. The match was tight and quite intense.

Several opportunities were created in this match. However, only one goal could be scored, namely through Leandro Trossard’s flick.

This result makes Arsenal return to the top of the 2023/2024 Premier League standings with 86 points from 37 matches. Meanwhile, Man United is in eighth place with a collection of 54 points.

In the first half, both teams showed their intention to win. Manchester United and Arsenal pressed and attacked each other.

However, both attacks were still mental in each team’s defense. But then there was a mistake in the 20th minute.

The ball was stolen by an Arsenal player and given to Kai Havertz in the right halfspace of the MU penalty box. He then gave a mature pass into the middle of the penalty box to Leandro Trossard who entered from the left flank. 0-1!

Winning by one goal made Arsenal even more confident. They continued to pressure Man United for a while. But after that the hosts were able to reduce the Gunners’ play and turned to put pressure on the guests.

In the 36th minute Diallo fell in the penalty box after apparently being hit by Thomas Partey’s tackle. However, from the replay it can be seen that the tackle was clean and hit the ball first.
