Real Madrid successfully beat Deportivo Alaves with a landslide score of 5-0 in the Jornada 36 La Liga 2023/2024 match which was held at the Santiago Bernabeu, Tuesday (14/5/2024).
Two of Real Madrid’s five winning goals were scored by Vinicius, while the other three goals were scored by Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde and Arda Guler respectively.
Thanks to this result, Real Madrid, who have been confirmed as champions, is firmly at the top of the standings with 93 points. Meanwhile, Alaves is stuck in 11th place with 42 points.
Real Madrid immediately stepped on the gas from the start of the match. As a result, Bellingham managed to open up the hosts’ lead when the match had only been running for 10 minutes.
Vinicius successfully doubled Madrid’s lead in the 27th minute before it was closed by Valverde’s goal in first half injury time. A score of 3-0 for the hosts was the temporary result at halftime.

Bellingham became the inspiration for Real Madrid’s victory. The midfielder, who is only 20 years old, was involved in almost all the goals scored by the hosts.
After scoring his team’s opening goal, Bellingham assisted Valverde’s third goal at the end of the first half. Then, Bellingham also provided an assist for Vinicius’ second goal.
Overall, Bellingham was recorded as creating six opportunities, touching the ball nine times in the opponent’s penalty box, making four successful dribbles and sending the ball into dangerous areas 12 times.
Arda Guler played as a substitute in the match against Deportivo Alaves. He entered the field in the 62nd minute replacing Eduardo Camavinga.
After that, Arda Guler scored Real Madrid’s fifth goal in the 81st minute. He broke through Deportivo Alaves’ goal with a left-footed shot using Rodrygo’s cross.
Now Arda Guler has scored four goals in his last six matches in La Liga. Previously, he scored goals against Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad and Granada.
Since joining at the start of this season, Guler has played 11 matches in all competitions. He collected four goals from that appearance.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti praised Arda Guler’s potential. He believes that the young man from Türkiye can become a future star for Los Blancos.
“We really like young people. “The whole club, staff and coaching staff really like him because he is the youngest,” Ancelotti said on the club’s official website.
“He is developing very well, he has talent and that is scoring goals. Guler loves to have the ball. We are happy he is here and he will be with us in the future.”
