Saudi Arabian League Final Week Results

The Saudi Arabian League plays matches from the last week of the 2023/2024 season, Monday (27/5/2024). The top two teams, Al Hilal and Al Nassr both won.

At Al Awwal Park, Al Nassr hosted another strong team, Al Ittihad. The hosts appeared dominant and had a three-goal lead through two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and a penalty from Abdulrahman Ghareeb.

Al Ittihad put up fierce resistance and reduced the deficit to 2-3 thanks to goals from Farha Al Shamrani and Fabinho. However, Al Nassr moved away again through the actions of Meshari Al Nemer.

This result made Al Nassr end the season in second place with 82 points. Meanwhile, Al Ittihad had to settle for fifth place with 54 points.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s additional two goals earned him the title of top scorer with a collection of 35 goals in one season.

At the same time, Al Hilal, who had been confirmed as champions, had to visit Al Wehda’s headquarters. Al Hilal is still hunting for victory to complete their unbeaten record this season.

Al Hilal’s lead through Mohamed Kanno’s goal in the 19th minute was equalized by the hosts thanks to Yahya Naji’s goal when the match entered the 77th minute.

When the match seemed like it would end in a draw, Aleksandar Mitrovic emerged as the hero of Al Hilal’s victory through a goal he scored in the second minute of injury time.

The 2-1 victory brought Al Hilal to complete their fantastic season with an unbeaten record, aka undefeated. Throughout the season, Al Hilal recorded 31 wins and three draws.

Another record that Cristiano Ronaldo set after the closing match of the Saudi Arabian League season was that he became the first player in history to win the title of top scorer in four different leagues.

Previously, Ronaldo first became top scorer in the Premier League with Manchester United. CR7 was recorded as scoring 31 goals in the 2007/2008 Premier League season.

Then, Ronaldo, who was in the Real Madrid uniform, successfully won the La Liga top scorer title three times. Ronaldo won the three titles respectively in the 2010/2011 season (40 goals), 2013/2014 (31 goals) and 2014/2015 (48 goals).

Furthermore, Ronaldo conquered the Italian Serie A by leading Juventus to win the Scudetto title and securing the top scorer award in the 2020/2021 season with a record of 29 goals.
