On 29 May 2022, Joseph Walker (Real Madrid reporter) told UEFA at the Stade de France, “What can you say? Madrid only knows how to win finals.” Walker expressed his joy after Los Blancos, nicknamed Real Madrid, won their 14th UEFA Champions League (UCL) (la decimocuarta) after a dramatic 1-0 win over Liverpool.
Two years later, the reporter’s words were like the words of a prophet in the desert, proclaiming the truth and offering eternal happiness. The truth of the word became real at Wembley Stadium, London, on June 1 2024. Los Blancos managed to win 2-0 over Die Schwarzgelben (The Black Yellows), nicknamed for Borussia Dortmund, at the proud stadium of The Three Lions, England. This valuable victory set a phenomenal record, namely the 15th UCL title.
When the referee blew the final whistle, the voices and chants of madridistas echoed from Wembley to the silent alleys of Madrid, from the Plaza de Cibeles to the Santiago Bernabeu. They are drowning in the deepest ocean of euphoria.
The white heart, an emoticon for madridistas, looks like it has wings. He flew to heaven, a place that offers eternal happiness, then danced with football legends. There is a celebration of victory, there is eternal happiness in the heart, that is the inner mood of Madrid supporters. A child prodigy, Arda Guler, thanked in front of thousands of supporters with a shy boy’s smile, “Hello madridistas, we are family. Thank you for everything”.
Victory after Victory
