Leon Edwards to Face Belal Muhammad at UFC 304

Leon Edwards is set to face Belal Muhammad in the main event of UFC 304, which will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

The fight will be held at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, England.

This fight is a rematch between Edwards and Muhammad. Their first meeting took place in March 2021 and ended in a no contest due to an accidental eye poke by Edwards.

Now, they will have the opportunity to settle the score and compete for the welterweight title at UFC 304.

Edwards has had an impressive career leading up to this title fight. He has won four straight fights since his first meeting with Muhammad, capturing the welterweight division title along the way. Edwards has a record of 22 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no contest.

Back in December 2015, Edwards stepped into the octagon to face off against the formidable Kamaru Usman during the early prelims of a thrilling UFC on Fox card.

Unfortunately, it was Usman who emerged victorious, claiming the win by unanimous decision.

However, it’s worth noting that this intense showdown marked the last time Edwards found himself on the losing side of a UFC battle.

Since that fateful encounter, he has been nothing short of unstoppable, showcasing his incredible skills and determination in each subsequent fight.

Edwards has established himself as one of the top fighters in the division and will look to defend his title against Muhammad.

Muhammad has also been on a winning streak since his first encounter with Edwards. He has won all five of his fights since then, including a victory over Gilbert Burns at UFC 288.

Muhammad’s record stands at 23 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no contest. He will be looking to continue his unbeaten streak and claim the welterweight title at UFC 304.

Fight Card and Main Event

UFC 304 will feature a stacked fight card with a distinctive British flair.

In addition to the main event between Edwards and Muhammad, the card will include other exciting matchups such as Tom Aspinall defending the interim heavyweight title against Curtis Blaydes.

Bobby Green taking on Paddy Pimblett, and Muhammad Mokaev vs. Manel Kape.
