Ipswich Town continues to monitor the development of Elkan Baggott who is currently on loan to Blackpool FC for the 2024-2025 season. It is proven that Ipswich coach, Kieran McKenna, is aware of the managerial changes in Blackpool FC and hopes that it will not interfere with Baggott’s efforts to get playing time at the club playing in the third tier of the English Premier League.
Yes, Elkan Baggott is currently on loan from Ipswich Town to Blackpool FC. The 21-year-old player was loaned by Ipswich Town to get some playing time.
Elkan himself has played two matches with The Tangerines – Blackpool FC’s nickname. In those two matches, Elkan received praise for his solid performance.
McKenna was also happy to hear that Elkan continues to develop. McKenna prayed that the Indonesian National Team player would continue to progress to become better.
“And for Elkan, it’s an opportunity to go out and get more experience and play more. He’s had a really good pre-season with us, performing really well on different pitches,” McKenna was quoted as saying by TWTD, Friday (8/23/2024).
“But we know with a young centre-back, the most valuable thing you can get is game time and experience,” he added.
On the other hand, McKenna also spoke about the dismissal of Neil Critchley from the Blackpool FC coaching chair. He hopes that Elkan will be able to adapt to the new coach at The Tangerines.
“Of course it’s disappointing to hear about the managerial change at the start of the season (Neil Critchley was sacked earlier this week and Baggott’s former Town teammate Keogh became caretaker manager), but Elkan is a committed and versatile player, he will work hard to make it a successful loan player,” he said.
