MPL Season 14 will roll tomorrow, August 9, 2024. After a bad international tournament break for Indonesia, this season is an opportunity for the best two at the end of the season to get tickets to the 6th M Series aka M6. The 9 MPL teams have their own stories in preparing their teams in MPL Season 14, one of which is Geek Fam.
Geek Fam brought in a new jungler, Vincent, who previously played at Rebellion Esports. This transfer was quite surprising because Vincent seemed cool with his old team even though several players were quite heated throwing taunts until they were attacked by netizens. Is Vincent tired of seeing his friends and team being attacked by netizens until he moved teams?
Apparently that’s not the reason. Through an online interview for MPL S14 some time ago, Vincent revealed the reason why he moved to Geek Fam. “I’ve been planning to move teams since season 12. I wanted to try a new team. And I saw that the only suitable team was Geek Fam, so I tried out at Geek Fam,” said the jungler.
CEO of Geek Fam, Keat Kuang Lim is optimistic about Vincent’s future. He is sure he can perform and give better results or at least as good as the previous Geek Fam jungler.
“I think all players and each team are different and unique. Although our previous jungler was very talented, just like Vincent, I think our focus is on connecting team chemistry between senior and new players with coaching staff and adjusting the meta. I believe in Vincent’s ability to adapt to the team because of my belief in the team’s coaching and my senior players,” said Keat.
This week Geek Fam will fight twice on Saturday (10/8) and Sunday (11/8) against Alter Ego and Dewa United. Will Vincent be able to maintain Geek Fam’s style of play and explosion?
