The San Antonio Spurs targeted big players to rebuild its roster after a hectic NBA offseason thus traded the forward from Sacramento Kings, Harrison Barnes.
Further, the Texan team acquired Chris Paul, a veteran player, showing the hopes of things turning around very soon.
But when? Now, based on the information pasted on bleachreport website, the team still desires more changes.
Besides Frenchmen Victor Wembanyama and Jeremy Sochan, the Spurs could be targeting another Frenchman in the trade.
This is Bilal Coulibaly now with National Basketball Association or NBA’s Washington Wizards.
That they have played together in two occasions makes the rumors of San Antonio eyeing to make a move soon believable.
Both Coulibaly and Wembanyama spent their previous season in French club Metropolitan 92.
They got third but a stage higher on the Paris Olympics they settled for silver after being defeated by only USA.
But the thing is, Spurs are targeting a few trades in the 2024/25 NBA season and with this mentality, they would need better players to have a shot of making the playoffs.
Although it won’t be easy, the team is still interested in two other talented young players: Anfernee Simons plays as a shooting guard in NBA 2K21 for the Portland Trail Blazers while Darius Garland is a point guard and also a member of Cleveland Cavaliers.
At the same time, the team did not liked his last season in Ohio and criticism appeared.
There were rumours after the end of the playoffs that this season there could be more radical changes in the cub.
It didn’t happen. But the Spurs still insists on having Garland. Of course it may not be the next season that the team will be able to negotiate with Cleveland front office.
