Brazil hosted Peru on matchday 10 of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Wednesday, October 16, 2024. In the match at the BRB Mae Garrincha Arena, Brazil won with a score of 4-0.
Since the kick off of the first half was started by the referee from Uruguay, Esteban Ostojich, the Brazilian National Team immediately carried out a fast game by attacking from both sides of the field.
Although not reinforced by the megastar Vinicius Jr. who had to be absent due to a neck injury, the Brazilian National Team was actually still able to dominate the course of the match well.

The dominance of the team coached by Dorival Junior could not be blocked properly by the Peruvian National Team’s defenders.
In the 54th minute, Raphinha again put his name on the scoreboard through a penalty spot which made Brazil lead with a score of 2-0.
Leading by two points made the Samba Team increasingly dominate the course of the match, while Peru tried to continue to close their defense line tightly so that no additional goals were scored while trying to counterattack.
Brazil, who had difficulty finding additional goals because of the tight defense wall built by Peru, finally managed to widen the lead.
In the 71st minute, the Brazilian National Team managed to add a goal through Andreas Pereira which made them now lead 3-0.
Conceding a third goal from Andreas Pereira made Peru lose focus. This was immediately utilized well by Brazil.
Less than five minutes after Andreas Pereira’s goal, Brazil added another goal through Luis Henrique in the 74th minute.
Brazil were unstoppable in this match and continued to press until the end of the match.
Brazil closed the match with a 4-0 victory over Peru. This result puts Brazil in 4th position in the standings with 16 points from 10 matches. Meanwhile, Peru is in 9th position because it has only got six points from 10 matches.
