Robert Horry Thinks He Should Be in the Hall of Fame

Robert Horry was never a league MVP, a first team all-nba selection or even an all-star in the NBA but he was also a 7-time NBA Champion and he don’t think he should not be in the Hall of Fame.

The former player won titles with Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs, but he will have a shot at challenging the basketball royalty.

During an interview with SB Nation’s Nicole Ganglani, Horry has expressed on them.

“You think a lot of guys can score and stuff, but they know what they need to do to make a team better,” Horry said.

“And one thing I think people forget is that they still don’t know what the Basketball Hall of Fame is. It’s not the NBA Hall of Fame. So if you look at my career, it speaks for itself.” Horry added.

According to Horry, his NBA titles are more valuable to players than to other people. One of them is his former coach Rudy Tomjanovic.

According to the former player, Tomjanovic always said that his efforts were great enough.

“He told me that people outside of basketball don’t know how much effort and sacrifice players put in to be better. But that’s exactly why I love him and why he’s my favorite coach,” Horry said.

Despite all the titles, Horry has one problem with his application: he was never a star. Not only was he an All-Star, but he never put up consistent numbers to be considered one.

In fact, Horry was a team player, who was part of winning teams. In addition, he started in only 480 of 1,107 games in the NBA.

Horry only didn’t win a championship for the Phoenix Suns, a team he played in only 32 games in his career.

But even then, he didn’t have such an important role. It was something he did for practically his entire time in the NBA.
