Xtreme Gaming announce revamped roster for DreamLeague S24, XinQ

Xtreme Gaming announce revamped roster for DreamLeague S24, XinQ and Dy moved to inactive

Xtreme Gaming swapped out the support duo ahead of their first tournament in the 2024-2025 competitive season.

After returning from The International 2024 (TI13) with a top 6 finish, Xtreme Gaming took a longer break than most teams and skipped the first two tournaments of the new season. The Chinese representatives received a direct invite to PGL Wallachia Season 2, which was the first international competition held on LAN after TI13, but forfeited their spot. They also skipped entirely the currently ongoing BetBoom Dacha Belgrade tournament, but they will honour their invite at DreamLeague Season 24 which is set to commence this coming Sunday, October 27.

In what can be regarded as a shocking move, China’s star position 4 support Zhao “XinQ” Zixing was benched along with Ding “Dy” Cong. While it is unclear if the changes were made at the players’ request or not, XG will compete at DreamLeague Season 24 with Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan replacing XinQ and Jiang “天命/ Tianming” An filling Dy’s position.

While Pwy is coming from Team Zero, which up until TI13 was Xtreme Gaming’s secondary team, Tianming is currently on an inactive status with Azure Ray. For both players, the upcoming season of DreamLeague might prove to be a trial by fire and might bring them a full contract with the organisation.

Xtreme Gaming roster for DreamLeague Season 24
Wang “Ame” Chunyu
Hongcheng “Xm” Guo
Jing “Xxs” Lin
Jiahan “Pyw” Xiong (stand-in)
Jiang “天命” An (stand-in)
coach: Wang “Maps” Yutian

Xtreme are one of the six directly invited teams at DreamLeague courtesy of their top 4 finish in the previous season and overall top 4 placement in the ESL Pro Tour Season 2 leaderboard.

As with the previous ESL Pro Tour (EPT) season, all DreamLeague and ESL One tournaments are also played for EPT points, which will determine the direct invites at Riyadh Masters next year.
