Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant had strong feelings toward the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night as seen about it.
The Grizzlies were well prepared and really gave a superb fight to the Laker team thereby defeating them quite comfortably and comprehensively with a score of 131 to 114.
Jaren Jackson Jr., Ja Morant and rookie Jaylen Wells scored 20 points in this game and basically outplaying the Lakers. LeBron James put up a fight scoring 39 points for the Lakers.
The Grizzlies remained image conscious and that is obvious that Morant has not let the memory of last season and certainly April 12.
That is the game what the Lakers visited Memphis and the Grizzlies’ starting line up defeated them with the score 123-120.
“I don’t like them. They knocked me out of the playoffs. And then last year we had a game, and they came here and popped it on our home floor when I was in street clothes. I wasn’t tonight.” Morant said.
Grizzlies and Lakers has now become a fierce competitors in the most recent years due to the competition within the Western Conference.
Morant’s comments reveal not only affection for basketball but also the increasing rivalry that occurs between two organisations to achieve similar outcomes.
“I don‘t back down from nobody, don’t care who you are. My job was just to come back, I got my bucket, and you know I set the tone.” Morant said.
“My teammates fed off it and you see what happens. Top dog in our league, you take out the top dog, who else you fear?” he added.
Morant played only 24 minutes of the game; he left in the third quarter after suffering a strain of the right hamstring. The Grizzlies did not have an update post their match.
