Spanish League giants Real Madrid managed to win a landslide victory over Leganes in the 14th week of La Liga 2024/2025 at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque, Sunday (11/24/2024).
Madrid appeared dominant in possession of the ball in this match. However, it was not easy for them to beat Leganes.
Madrid’s goals were scored by Kylian Mbappe, Federico Valverde, and Jude Bellingham. Mbappe had scored one more goal but it was disallowed by the referee.
This result made Madrid collect 30 points from 13 matches and they are now in second place in the 2024/2025 Spanish League standings. Meanwhile, Leganes is in 14th position with a collection of 14 points from 14 matches.
Real Madrid immediately put pressure on Leganes’ defense as soon as the match started. Kylian Mbappe was the first player to release a shot on target in this match in the fifth minute. He directed the ball to the bottom left corner of the opponent’s goal but the ball was still saved by the opponent’s goalkeeper.
In the 11th minute, Real Madrid successfully scored a goal via Mbappe. However, the goal was disallowed because the French player was previously caught offside.
