The Pink Spiders vs Red Sparks match took place at Incheon Samsan World Gymnasium, Tuesday (17/12). Megawati and friends, who lost in their two previous meetings this season, showed their best potential.
Ko Hee Jin’s men won 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 14-25 and 25-22). This result also caused the Pink Spiders to lose for the first time in the 2024/2025 season. Previously, the Pink Spiders had always won 14 consecutive matches.
Megawati scored 20 points, while her partner Vanja Bukilic scored 34 points and was the top scorer in the match.
Bukilic’s additional 34 points put her in third place in the overall top scorer list for the Korean women’s volleyball league. The player from Serbia has pocketed 343 points or 23 points more than Megawati.
Bukilic is in third place behind Victoria Danchak from the IBK Altos team with 372 points and Laetitia Moma Bassoko, who is Hillstate’s mainstay with 344 points.
Below Bukilic and Megawati is the Queen of Korean Volleyball Kim Yeon Kyung who collected 298 points. In the match against Red Sparks, Yeon Kyung recorded 26 points.
