Legend Palace Hotel offers Live dealer gaming tables

The newest pearl in the crown of Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is Casino Hotel Legend Palace, which is to open at the end of this month. Owned by Hong Kong-listed gambling operator Macau Legend Development, the establishment will open with 66 live-dealer gaming tables, according to CEO David Chow Kam Fai.The 223-hotel-room complex and the casino are bound to start welcoming guests at the same time.

The opening comes less than two weeks after Macau Legend Development Limited was granted official permission to operate 15 new-to-market mass-market gaming tables inside the Legend Palace Hotel while the remainder will be redeployed from the firm’s existing properties, which include the Pharaoh’s Palace Casino inside The Landmark Macau hotel and the nearby Babylon Casino Macau.

Mr Chow further stated that between 46 and 55 tables at the Legend Palace would be dedicated to mass play, while another 11 would offer VIP service. Pursuant to state legislation, Macau Legend is not eligible for table quota in its own right but depends on the quota of casino operator SJM Holdings instead. Hong Kong-listed Macau Legend Development Limited, which additionally runs the 444-room Harbourview Hotel Macau, revealed that it has designated at least 46 of the gaming tables inside the Legend Palace Hotel’s casino for mass-market play although this number could eventually reach as high as 55.

“We are planning to house between 46 and 55 mass tables plus eleven self-run VIP tables during the grand opening period,” read a statement from David Chow Kam Fai, Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Macau Legend Development Limited. However, it appears only the 15 new tables were deployed on opening day, with the rest to be phased in.

According to a report on G3Newswire, Macau Legend Co-Chairman, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. David Chow said, “There is a casino in Legend Palace, which houses 15 new gaming tables that was recently granted by the Macau SAR Government. This reaffirms the support given to us by the SAR Government, and I would like to express my heartfelt thanks. To cope with upcoming development needs, we will strive to apply for more tables. The Macau Fisherman’s Wharf redevelopment project is a commitment by the Company to promote the development of tourism in Macau.

In addition to the new hotel, we shall continue to strengthen the facilities of the Marina to fully implement the “Free Yacht Travel Scheme”; and continue to upgrade the visual effect to the newly completed canopy for an enhanced open-air shopping, dining and entertainment experience; and speed up the progress of construction of the dinosaur museum to increase non-gaming elements. Future plans include the construction of an opera house and an intelligent exhibition center, with an aim to foster innovation, and introduce more diversified travel elements to increase visitations to Macau in general and Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.”
