Struggling barca !

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique claimed he hadn’t been affected by rumors that he could become the latest high-profile exit from the Camp Nou should his side fail to beat Atletico Madrid on Sunday. However, the 44-year-old said he would step down after just seven months in the job if he felt he no longer had the backing of his players.

“There are so many reports, some of them badly intentioned,” he said on Saturday. “I won’t get involved in this dangerous game. What I can guarantee is that the day I see that my players don’t follow me, I will leave.”

A destabilizing week for the Catalan giants began with a shock 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad last weekend after Luis Enrique had left nearly 300 million euros ($355m, £234m) of talent, including Lionel Messi and Neymar, on the bench. The unrest at the Camp Nou kicked into overdrive on Monday when sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta was sacked, his assistant and club legend Carles Puyol resigned and Messi then missed an open training session with the club’s fans.

Lionel-Messi-2

The Argentine sparked transfer rumors by then, following Chelsea on the social networking site Instagram, while reports emerged that his relationship with Luis Enrique is at breaking point.

On Wednesday, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu called early elections for the end of the season in response to the increasing pressure on his position.

On the field there was some respite as Barca eased towards the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey with a 5-0 thrashing of Elche on Thursday.

However, the coach’s name was booed by the home fans as they showed their support for Messi.

It isn’t new when we hear the top class rivalry going on and off between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. The tactics that includes  pulling world class players with money gravity is not new for both clubs .but here the point is if having multi millions players in your squads make you goes up then what is the need of a manager? And on other hand why administration keeps on sacking it’s managers instead of screwing loose nuts of their players.

Spanish coach Pep Guardiola

I still remember when Pep Guardiola was manager at Camp Nou , barca was on heights of it’s one of best moments. Under his kinship the club won numerous record breaking titles, Copa del Ray , UEFA Champions League , UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and of course La liga titles. But at the end of 2012 season when the club lost to Chelsea in semi-finals of Champions League, tika taki master was faced with a lot of criticism because of his selected squads and playing style. He announced that he would step down as manager on 30 June and be succeeded by assistant Tito Vilanova. Guardiola finished his tenure with Barça winning the Copa del Reyfinal 3–0, bringing the tally to 14 trophies that Barça had won under his stewardship.

So what I am trying to say is why every time the whole pressure and blame is put on one man even when all could see easily that he isn’t standing on the grounds. Change is good and change is for good. But changing only managers is not a change that is needed.
