There is no expectation of Steven Gerrard the captain of Liverpool for farewell from the supporters of Everton. Steven Gerrard has reputed himself as the target of Everton fans from a long time. According to Steven Gerrard, he thinks that there will be some change on Saturday at Goodison Park.
Caption of Liverpool Steven Gerrard said, “I doubt it very much. I love the banter with Everton fans. It’s what it’s all about. It’s about rivalries. I don’t mind it at all. Bring it on, as far as I’m concerned.”
Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard will now make an end of his Liverpool career and this will be done before he makes his move to MLA side LA Galaxy.
Against Everton, this appearance of Steven Gerrard will be the final one as Premier League. Also, on 19th February, he can still face Roberto Martinez in Europa League. On talking with Liverpool FC TV, Steven Gerrard said, “It will be my last derby and it will be someone else’s turn to be in the spotlight. I love playing against Everton. I’ve got friends and family members who are big Blues and it’s all about the bragging rights in the city. It’s a bit different from a normal league game, but I’m looking forward to that one and hopefully I can add to my good derby record.”
According to the manager of Everton Martinez, he thinks that this time on Saturday the spot light would be on his team as compared to the team of Steven Gerrard. Everton Martinez said, “When we play the Merseyside derby at Goodison, we want it to be our Merseyside derby and that’s the only thing we are looking at. As a football club, we have been in a period when we haven’t been enjoying the results that we wanted, so we will look forward to it being our Merseyside derby.”
So, Steven Gerrard really does not expect anything in regard of farewell from Everton. Really, he is not disappointed by such an attitude but according to him if there comes some farewell from the fans of Everton he will truly love it. Now let’s see what fans of Everton have for the captain of Liverpool Steven Gerrard. In my opinion Steven Gerard must be given a good farewell and he deserves this. Fingers are crossed!
