Golf star Tiger Woods was arrested on a DUI charge on Tuesday (AEST) morning but claims he didn’t drink any alcohol, blaming his arrogant rant at police as an ”unexpected reaction to prescribed medications”.
Woods was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail after being caught at a traffic stop at 3am for having an unlawful blood alcohol content level, but police didn’t specify the chemical or substance that led to the arrest.
The 41-year-old released a statement denying there was any use of alcohol.
“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions,” Woods said in a statement.
“I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.
“I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more from myself too.
“I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.
“I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Department and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office for their professionalism.”
Tiger Woods an trouble are two things that seems to never be a part, the use of medications is enough to proof of his trouble and struggle that he have.
He was once having a big scandalous issue previously with a lot of women and that affected his career and his life as well.
It also affected his golf career, as such a big endorsement from big company are all withdrew their interest in the once world most famous golfer.
So it is something very obvious to spot on in this case, if only he had been proven to taken any alcoholic substances while driving, this might put a strong alert to his remaining endorsement.
Well, no one really want to support an alcoholic driven athlete for sure.
